Welcome to my website. I am a Psychologist helping people maximize their physical and emotional well-being in all aspects of their lives. I work with people who are seeking help for many different things in their personal and work lives and with organizations who are struggling with managing team dynamics and making changes within the organization. However you came to my website, I invite you to explore the different sections to see how I might be able to help with whatever it is that is bringing you here. I am always available to answer any questions at the above phone number or email address. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (IL license 071.009626) with a Doctorate in Clinical
Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. I have a dual specialization in health
psychology and organizational development.
In addition, I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and hold certifications in multiple therapy modalities, including clinical hypnosis, cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
My approach to my work, whether with individuals, couples, or
organizations, is shaped by the Reality Therapy approach developed by William
Glasser. I partner with my clients
to identify goals and find productive ways to achieve them. As new and effective behaviors are developed,
old problematic behaviors often disappear, resulting in increased enjoyment of
life. This approach has been well
documented to treat depression, anxiety, substance use, pain, co-occurring
health problems, marital happiness, and organizational effectiveness.
Throughout my training and
professional experience at leading healthcare facilities such as the Diamond Headache Clinic and IU Health, I have come to specialize in particular areas,
including:
Anxiety Panic Attacks Depression Substance Use Smoking Cessation Impulsive Behaviors Chronic Health Problems such as migraines, chronic pain, diabetes, heart failure Anger/Irritability Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Phobias Insomnia/Sleep Problems Sexual Problems Relationship Problems Career Counseling Work Problems Chronic Stress Coping Skills Social Skills
I also conduct neuropsychological evaluations to evaluate for ADHD, cognitive changes or memory problems, and/or effects of head injury or traumatic accident. I am also able to do pre-surgical assessments for weight loss surgery or pain treatment surgeries such as a neurostimulator or medication pump implant.
As an Organizational Development specialist, I have
worked with a number of organizations throughout the Chicagoland area to
improve internal processes, evaluate programs, improve service delivery, and
engage employees. I am available for
organizational consultations as well as individual consultation with anyone
experiencing difficulties related to work, including supervision coaching,
managing co-workers, work-life balance, and the job search process.
I also enjoy working with students and am also available
for dissertation coaching and statistics consultation.
